The explorer of night - Minimalist platformer is aiming for a Steam Greenlight success

Checking through the latest Steam Greenlight campaigns, we happen to across a game called 'The Explorer of the Night' developed by Alexander Bondarenko. A game that we felt stood out with its unusual colour design and for the fact it's a platformer which is one of my favourite genres. If you remember us talking about this game before, that's because it was originally available as a demo through gamejolt and now looks as if the developer is pushing for a completion and a Steam Greenlight success on PC and Linux.

In The Explorer of the Night you play as a cat like creature that has to get from the beginning of the level to the end while avoiding enemies and using skill to avoid deadly traps. It all sounded like your average sounding platformer, but during its early stage of development when playing the demo, I had stated that it was good fun, had a graphical style of which I've not seen before, and it was so simple to play that even a kid of 5 years old could probably pick up and enjoy.

- Easy to play
- Controller supported and recommended
- Cute story
- A lot of levels to explore
- Different enemies
- Puzzle elements

So if this minimalist platformer is just the type of game for you, then give them a Steam Greenlight thumbs up!
