Specball 2016 - ZX Spectrum conversion of an Enterprise game

When it comes to retro computers I know about many of them especially the more common ones such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum. But I don't think I have ever heard of the Z80 based Enterprise, which this game originally had its roots way back in 1988. Rather than called ' Enterball ' developed by A-Studio, this game is now known as 'Specball 2016', as it was converted by ZOZOSOFT just recently to the ZX Spectrum. Apparently, because the Enterprise could emulate ZX Spectrum screen system and run some games with little modifications, ZOSOSOFT found and examined the code and released it as it is today.

So what's the gameplay like? Well to be honest if you've ever played Breakout or Arkanoid, then you already know what to expect. If you haven't, basically in this game you wait till the ball is released by pressing the down key, then bounce it around the game screen using shift until it hits the diamond to finish the first of level 50.  What makes this game unique is the ever increasing speed on the left hand side, a special door opening which gives you extra bonuses, and the ability to tilt the screen like a pinball machine.

It is a nice little game, but it lacks in game music and is rather jerky when scrolling the paddle from left to right, but if  you want something different for your ZX, give this game a go!
