Total Eclipse - 3D adventure game ported over to the Atari XL/XE

The weather outside is awful with lashing rain and cold winds, but alteast we have a new conversion to play on the Atari XL/XE! It's Total Eclipse, a new conversion from the C64 to the Atari 8bit which was originally released in 1988 by Incentive Software for a mutltitude of computers such as the  Amiga, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, MS-DOS and ZX Spectrum! Destroy the shrine of the Sun-God Re at the apex of the pyramid, stop the curse from happening and save the Earth from devastating destruction.

Just like the previous Freescape games developed by Incentive Software such as Dark Side, Driller, Castle Master and Castle Master II - The Crypt, Total Eclipse is played in a first person viewpoint, who can move freely within the 3D environment of the game. This time, however, the emphasis is more on adventure, puzzle-solving and survival; with multi-level environments to move around and explore on a quest to destroy a shrine in a Pyramid.

As for the conversion which was coded by Mariusz Wojcieszek, graphics by Adam Wachowski, music and sound effects by MichaƂ 'stRing' Radecki and additional graphics by Jose Pereira. The game was ported from the C64 and features much better speed due to heavy optimizations and faster CPU clock, so it is much more enjoyable on an Atari 8bit. As for the requirements, Total Eclipse requires atleast 64KB of ram to run, supporting both PAL and NTSC, and also (for the first time) NTSC-50 and PAL-60. Game will also run properly on Atari with Rapidus accelerator.
