Rocky & Co Xmas - A very festive C64 demo from ICON64 via Psytronik Software!

With Christmas being just over a month away you'd expect to see lots of Christmas themed games appearing on Indie Retro News in the lead up to the 25th. Well that's certainly happening this week, as the second title to be mentioned on our site is a Christmas themed demo of ROCKY & CO Xmas: A new festive demo for ICON64's high quality platform puzzler which we had the pleasure of featuring last month. To coincide with this news Saberman has done a new video showing the demo being played.

Here's the latest from Psytronik. "Here's some festive fun for your C64 courtesy of ICON64. It's a festive-themed playable demo of ROCKY & CO! Take control of Rocky, Jet & Spud and use their unique strengths to solve the puzzle. The full game featuring 12 beautifully designed levels is now available to order as a physical edition for the C64 from the Psytronik Store or as a digital download via itch.io".

      It looks great but I won't try the demo until December, 1st. Just a little bit more than a month since I was out playing sport bare-chested in shorts. Just doesn't feel right with Christmas stuff in early November. It dilutes the real Christmas experience!

    Would a demo that short make anyone here interested in the full version? It's put me off if anything. Appears to be a shallow game with little to offer so they can't give away more than a tiny sliver of gameplay. Maybe it's good but not sure this was a wise move - Xmas demo has to give you enough to make you want more. Give too little and you end up thinking a game is crap sadly.
