While many of you are probably still playing the latest release from Retream called ' QUOD INIT EXIT IIo ', another C64 game that might be worth checking out, which is in development and teased with a playable demo, is Syntax Error Software's C64 game of miniMIKE and the Caverns of Doom; a new demo that's also playable online. Which feels a bit like Load Runner, except with deadly traps like those in VVVVV or even Super Meat Boy. To coincide with this news, provided below is the latest gameplay footage and details from the website.
And here's those details. "mini MIKE is about an explorer trapped on an alien world where everything is huge. Can you help Mike solve the puzzles, avoid the Nasties, save his friends and escape with his life? There is a short demo playable in your browser that only has a few levels. The demo shows the basic gameplay, but doesn't feature all the final creatures, dangers, items and most importantly, the levels available in the final build. After completion, the game might come out as a physical item, later on, ie. tape, disk, etc. as a purchase option for Commodore 64 hardware".
