Putting aside the brawlers and side scrolling platformers, as thanks to a heads up by Saberman, he has told us that if you like Adventure games, it might be worth checking out Paul Golian's latest Amiga game of Geo's Quest 2 In Search of Queen Lorraine - Enhanced; A new version of a graphic adventure game that was originally released in 2023, and based on a game that appeared unfinished back in early 2002.
Here is what the developer says about the update which also saw some gameplay improvements " Most of the graphics have been completely redone. I have redrawn/repainted the room backgrounds, and closeups (83 of 100) as well as their corresponding objects/bobs. The original release was intentionally done in the early Sierra genre using primarily 16 or less colors palettes. In the redo I used 32 and 64 half bright palettes similar to what I used in GQ3 & GQ4. So the backgrounds are much richer and deeper."
"I also reworked the intro and ending animations adding more frames for smoother animations, such as George walking on and off the screen for a more realistic gate. I also ensured rooms seen in the other games matched such as George's bedroom. I also caught some type-o's and spelling errors I missed the first time around. The redone game was tested on a real Pal 1200, a real NTSC 1200 and a real PAL 600 as well as on a win-UAE configured as a stock A1200 all with 1.6mb or more free chip ram and it ran rock solid without any issues on all systems; and the game played in full game window with no cut offs or loss of picture in either PAL or NTSC or UAE mode.."
