Star Trek Judgement Rites (Amiga Interpreter) - The sequel to Star Trek: 25th Anniversary arrives on the Amiga!

Thirty-four years after Interplay first brought 25th Anniversary to the Amiga, nexusle has achieved the impossible by making Star Trek: Judgment Rites playable on the Amiga. While the classic Star Trek: 25th Anniversary received an official Amiga AGA port in the 1990s, its highly anticipated sequel never happened with an exclusive release for MS-DOS and Macintosh systems. Now, thanks to a newly released custom interpreter, classic computer fans can bridge that decades-old gap. The community-driven software allows Amiga systems to run the original 1993-95 game code, fully supporting both enhanced AGA graphics and modern RTG video cards, alongside crisp AHI audio. Better yet, the interpreter lowers the game’s original hefty Macintosh hardware requirements; while the original title demands a powerful 68040 processor, this clever Amiga port is highly optimized, scaling down to run on a humble 68ec020 CPU backed by FastRAM with just a few simple adjustments to the software's tooltypes.

PC Version

Amiga owners must source the original 68k Macintosh version of the game—typically found archived as a Toast-Image inside a SIT compressed file, then you'll need to extract the Image with the UnSitter (included in the LHA) while waiting a long time depending on your hardware and use the Image with the included installer. The package supports English and German text boxes right out of the box, and it even features a built-in translation utility called 'langexport' for anyone looking to adapt the script into other Latin-1 languages.

  1. The fact that we can play this with just an A1200 with some fast ram is wild... Thank you, nexusle.
