Mechwars: Arena - A rather cool looking Arena game is coming to the ZX Spectrum

We've featured a number of great games by ZXBITLES over the last couple of years, from RED RAID THE BEGINNING to RED RAID: THE INFILTRATING on the ZX Spectrum. Well today's news came as another surprise to us, as after already featuring their new and upcoming game of MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE, along comes Mechwars: Arena. A multiplayer ZX Spectrum game as the first one in a trilogy of games due for both digital download and physical tape as coming soon!

Popeye - A classic Game & Watch game from 1981 appears on the ZX Spectrum 48k

Another day and another Game and Watch mention, as the previous one was called 'Donkey Kong Jr' which was ported over to multiple commodore systems, and this latest release called 'Popeye' has been developed for the ZX Spectrum 48K using Basic by McFly. Now unlike the other game port developed by alargames and starring Mario, Popeye is a simple game of skill starring Popeye and Olive, with the latter tossing objects from a ship's deck to be caught by her sailor boyfriend.

It's back to the ZX Spectrum for a Monday afternoon, as we've been informed by Saberman that a new ZX Spectrum game has launched called ' Prospector ', which has been developed by Aleisha M. Cuff (AMCGames) through the use of AGDx. If you love action platformers with a creepy overtone then read on, as Prospector for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k might just be the game for you!

Takeout Freakout - Frustratingly challenging ZX Spectrum game via LoadingScreech

A new ZX Spectrum game for Wednesday and this one is called Takeout Freakout and was developed by LoadingScreech using the PGD game engine, and not AGD which most games are developed with. In this game you play as a fast food worker who is trapped inside a takeaway haunted by alien mutant hamburgers. Not only do you have to escape this hellish ghostly experience, but tomorrow is your Astronomy exam and if you miss that, it's really bad news!

WAKE ME UP - A new 48K ZX Spectrum game is ready for your enjoyment!

Knightmare 2 ZX - A feature packed release for the ZX Spectrum

While we wait for the great Earok Amiga CD32 release, another game which has caught my eye today is Climacus and KgMcNeil's sequel of ' Knightmare 2 ZX '. A big platformer with 9 levels, an end game boss, smooth scrolling, interesting backgrounds, masked foregrounds and tritone title music. Knightmare 2 ZX was originally developed as a competition entry for ZXDev2015, with actual development for about 5 months!
