Settlers is a real time strategy game, simulating the building and expansion of a medieval type settlement. Released for the Amiga in 1993 it was the first game of its type on any platform, the IBM PC release not following for another year. It gave rise to countless follow ups and even the smash hit modern-day tablet game ‘Clash of Clans’ has its roots firmly planted in Settlers' territory. You can play against another human opponent or against up to three of a selection of potential computer opponents each with varying ‘personalities’. Everything is controlled via the mouse by using a series of on-screen menus.

TwinWorld: Land of Vision - The Company.PL are back with an old Amiga game via PC!

Some time ago on Indie Retro News, we used to love writing about the latest unofficial Amiga playable games on the PC from our good friends The Company.PL. But sadly not long into 2016 the releases stopped, as personal issues took their tole on one of the main guys behind the releasing team. Thankfully however as of today we have good news, as not only are The Company.PL back in action, but they've released the Amiga to PC playable game as a single trainered exe file, 'TwinWorld: Land of Vision'.

Battle Isle - Another HIT classic but this time it's a Blue Byte Strategy (PC Playable)

Game Info : I'd very surprised if anyone of this era hasn't heard of Battle Isle which was a series of turn-based tactics computer games developed in the 1990s by Blue Byte Software. Battle Isle also appeared on the PC anyway, but today it's the Amiga version. The game is hexed based, and you have the ability to move powerful war units onto different areas of the screen via the hexes. The game was fantastic fun for it's time and still is today, yet it was also a game that put the user deep in thought for his next move. Should the player move to surround his enemy or use all the weaponry at his means to pile in for a first strike. The missions also changed from attack, to defending a specific area. There's a lot more to this game and it all takes place on a fictional planet, Chromos. You can now play this game on your PC via a single file in a slightly higher graphical overtone, thanks to The Company.pl, which have just released/updated to version 2.6
