We've featured a number of fighting games on the C64, from the previously previewed Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition to Monstro Giganto. Well here we are with another fighting game mention, as thanks to Ed Barbos who gave us the shout out here on Indie Retro News, we've been told RetroGL is working on a versus fighting engine for the C64 called 'Retro Fighter'. The Scorpion Engine - The next best creation tool for the Amiga gets an update

As most of you are aware, there are different ways to create Amiga games, either through Amos, Blitz Basic, RedPill or through the rather lackluster Backbone. The Scorpion Engine - The next best creation tool for the Amiga?

As most of you are aware, there are different ways to create Amiga games, either through Amos, Blitz Basic, RedPill or through the rather lackluster Backbone. But one such engine is making its presence known, and that's Earok's upcoming Scorpion engine; a nifty piece of software that at some point will allow other users to create great games as 50HZ on A500...Or as in the case of the latest Tales of Gorluth conversion and other footage shown through this year so far, the possibility of creating higher end games with smooth scrolling even on lower end machines.

2D Amiga Game Engine shown as a 2019.06 update

We've featured a couple of Amiga engines this year, one being Red Pill and the other being Scorpion by Earok. But another game engine has also been mentioned, as we've been told by both Saberman and Per Ola, that Retro Navigator has updated his 2D Amiga Game Engine to 2019.06. If you want to know what sort of games can be created using this engine, the developer has shown off a small Zelda style game, a platformer, and even a shoot em up, as a result of recent experiments based on ideas taken from EAB (English Amiga Board) forum for Blitz Basic coders.

Something different for the Amiga and more especially if you like making games, as Per-Ola Eriksson has contacted us regarding a new game engine that is in development and has been shown off as an early game teaser which is due to be properly announced soon. Currently titled as the 'Amiga AGA 2D Platformer Engine ', this latest update features more graphics, more sounds and more animations over its previous release which we hadn't yet featured.

RPG Maker - The entire series reviewed

RPGMaker, one of the best examples of a tool used to learn how to make your own game, long before all of these high tech engines like unity, blender and many more but is it still relevant? When today you can get a free engine and tool to start making games right away why should we bother with a paid tool that out of the box which seems restrictive and finicky? Well my friends that is what we are going to discuss here today.
