We've had a lot of platformers and text based adventure games lately on the Atari XL/XE, so to change all that, we are pleased to announce as thanks to Saberman, the release of the Atari game 'Wasteland' by Michael Jaskula (mike). Yes indeed if you're looking something fresh on the Atari XL/XE then look no further than this game, as traversing the dangerous Wastelands you'll come across uniquly designed areas, as you try to escape this hellish landscape using your escape pod!
As the story goes, you are the sole survivor alone in a post apocalyptic world. The only way to get out is to use your escape pod! Your mission? Collect all the fuel cells, power up the pod and leave this hellish place for good. The game features top quality animation, lots of well thought out areas such as the road between the power lines, deadly fast moving enemies, and difficult challenges... Just a shame there's no ingame music.
