I'm sure many of you especially Amiga owners, will remember the brilliant 1990 Adventure game ' The Secret of Monkey Island, by Lucasfilm Games. But did you know a developer by the name of Joachim Ljunggren in collaboration with Andreas Larsson is working on bringing this incredible game to the Commodore 64? Well, going by the latest website update including some teased videos and hand drawn artwork, this might just happen!

While we are unsure when this is going to be released and what the requirements are (REU?), here's the latest from the website. "The ongoing work involves the classic The Secret of Monkey Island. We are converting the complete game for the Commodore 64. My task in this project is to bring all the graphics to the screen on the Commodore 64 platform. This is a large task involving a meticulous process of hand-drawing each background, as well as the animations and characters. To be released sometime in the future. In the meantime, I will continue posting new artwork here. The game is coded by Andreas Larsson."
