Alex Kidd teased as an updated test of the Scorpion Engine

In 1987 Sega released the great side-scrolling platform game ' Alex Kidd ' for the Sega Master System console. Although it was first released in Japan in 1986 but internationally in 1987, it was one of the most well known games as it was also built into most Master System II's. For anyone that has played the rather enjoyable original, will be pleased to know as an updated test to the Scorpion Engine on the Amiga, Earok has shown off what the engine can do with a short 1 level demo of Alex Kidd.

Now before you get too excited thinking that Earok(Erik Hogan) is going to release a full version of Alex Kidd on the Amiga, you'll be dissapointed. As from what he has told the community, this is just a general demonstration of the engine's evolving and growing capabilities, as a conversion of the 1st level done in 48 hours during the 2019 KiwiJam....  Still it's looking very good even at this early stage, and at some point in the near future is sure to help other developers create some really awesome games!
