Astro Blaster - 1981 Arcade shooter gets a new ZX Spectrum conversion

Game conversions are coming out thick and fast this year, as not only did we mention the Atari to C64 conversion of Frostbite and the Arcade to Amiga conversion of Kung Fu Master, but now it's time to mention Astro Blaster. Yes indeed it's now time for the ZX Spectrum to get in on the action, as thanks to a heads up by both Saberman and RevStuart Campbell, we've been told the 1981 Arcade fixed shooter by Sega has been converted by Matt Jackson over to the ZX Spectrum.

As noted by the description for the game : The player controls a ship which can fire and move left or right. The player must continuously monitor the onscreen temperature and fuel gauges; if the ship overheats, its weapon is disabled, and if it is depleted of fuel, the vessel itself explodes. The player must battle through waves of enemies, which attack with varied formations and flight patterns to reach the mothership!
