Back in November of last year a new Kickstarter campaign was started for the revamp of the classic Sinclair title, Slightly Magic, however it wasn't meant to be. Originally this great classic was highly regarded in the local Sinclair magazines with ratings as high as 94%, yet for some reason the thought of a classic game featuring the original art work and game play and resolving some of the original platform limitations did not appeal to the gaming masses, and thus the Kickstarter failed by a rather large margin. Yet fast forward to today and some great news is on the horizon!
The revamp project is not dead and today I've just received word that Slightly Magic, by Colin Jones is now available for pre-order for desktops(PC,MAC,LINUX), phones, tablets and consoles with the official release due 7.7.14. I for one was gutted that the Kickstarter failed and with today's news I and many others will be able to play a game that is very closely related to Dizzy, but Slightly Magic expands this idea by allowing the use of spells to solve puzzles.
So what are you waiting for retro-gamers! Pre-order this fine classic revamp on the main website
