Smarty & The Nasty Gluttons - Unfinished Amiga game sees light of day

Flashtro and Scoopex has just taken us completely by surprise by releasing an action platformer Amiga game that was never finished due to the company going bust before they could fullfill everything they had in mind for the game. Originally planned for a 1994-5 release, ' Smarty & The Nasty Gluttons ' has been rescued and cracked by Mr Spiv and ADF supplied to Flashtro with permission by the owner Eero, so anyone that has an Amiga or WinUAE can play it today!

It's a shame that this game was not finished during the 90's as Smarty is a pretty decent game overall in a number of areas such as the character animation, screen detail, sound and music. In regards to the game play it is simple enough, you play as a kid that looks as if he goes into a dream like state that must complete each level by shooting green croc enemies before they turn into a mad red colour and become increasingly difficult to avoid. Thankfully your character has a number of abilities added to his advantage such as super speed, which can be accessed by holding down the fire button.

Just remember though that this game as we said is unfinished, in fact you cant finish a level so you have to use the left mouse button to skip all levels. But other than that, I've enjoyed what I've seen so far and look forward to further great releases from Flashtro and Scoopex!
