Let's Invade! - A psychedelic Space Invaders on the C64 by Richard Bayliss

Not long ago we teased Richard Bayliss's new Space Invaders game with a twist ' Let's Invade! ', as a preview for the C64. Well today a full version of the game has appeared and has been released by The New Dimension as both a Disk and a Tape based file. Be warned though, Let's Invade is not for someone who suffers epilepsy or migraines as it takes the original Arcade 1978 Shooter Space Invaders by Tomohiro Nishikado and adds psychedelic moving backgrounds with upbeat trance music.

Richard Bayliss is certainly no slouch when it comes to game design and music creation, the amount of games he has made with quality tunes is pretty astonishing, as can be seen via the TMD website. Yet when it comes to his latest game 'Let's Invade' it looks to be something special, especially as it looks to have all the brilliance of the classic Space Invaders and so much more.

Sadly however I was not able to experience the game for very long for a full review, and it is not because it's a bad game far from it. It's just the moving backgrounds with OR without flashing made me feel rather sick and I couldn't play it any further... But at least the music sounded awesome through my speakers!
