Gamers of the 1980's will remember a fantastic game called ' H.E.R.O' which was released for the Atari 800/2600, ColecoVision, C64, C128, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. It was a classic game which puts you in control of Roderrick Hero, on a mission to search the cave system for the trapped miners of Mount Leone. Well if you do remember it and are still waiting for Retrofan's upcoming H.E.R.O 2 (c64), you might be pleased to know a possible HD inspired version of the game has cropped up on Facebook.
Currently there isn't a lot to go on as this is the only thing shown today. But you can certainly see the resemblance to H.E.R.O, as your character is also equipped with a backpack-mounted helicopter unit, you can drop dynamite (bombs), you can shoot at cave creatures, AND from the look of the video above you also need to rescue miners trapped below. So yes if it does turn out to be a modernized version of H.E.R.O, TAKE MY MONEY NOW!
UPDATE VIA pixel.lu : Also loved H.E.R.O to death! Actually the first two levels are already fully playable, so you should be able to (re)play it pretty soon hopefully...
