Don't get me wrong I love dungeon crawlers, Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore and even Dungeon Master. But I've always wanted something with a much more darker tone, something that really gives the genre a much needed shake up. Thankfully it looks as if Two Bits Kid in development dungeon crawler of Aeon of Sands is about to do just that! As according to them this is a post-apocalyptic RPG, set in a dangerously pixelated desert world that eats people, and even has a taste for city clerks such as yourself!
It's incredible to think we've been following this game since 2014. An awesome looking crawler that takes us back to the golden age of grid based crawlers but with the added bonus of not just non-linear gameplay, a replayable story with multiple endings and real-time combat. But the choice of 2 other characters who can join your party during play, character personalities that influence the story, 150 dialogues, 20 locations, more than 60 mazes and dungeons to explore AND all of this with beautiful hand-drawn 2.5D environments and 240 hand-drawn illustrations.
So why are we mentioning this game AGAIN you might ask? Well the developers have told us Aeon of Sands will be coming to Steam as from 4th December for both Windows and MacOSX! How cool is that? ;)
