Hamurabi - A classic resource management sim ported online!
Atlantis and Dragonfire weren't the only games to be ported this month, as earlier today Chris contacted us to let us know that a port of 'Hamurabi' had been released and playable online via the Adventuron itch.io page. This game according to the main write up, is a port of the classic 1968 resource management sim by Doug Dyment and is adapted from the 1973 BASIC version port by David Ahl (printed in BASIC Computer Games, 1973).
As noted by the wiki for Hamurabi, the original game was a text-based strategy video game of land and resource management, in which through 10 years the player must manage the region of Sumeria as the ancient Babylonian king Hammurabi. So basically if it is the same as the original released all those years ago, you'll will need to manage how much of their grain to spend on crops for the next round, feed your people, and purchasing additional land, while dealing with random variations in crop yields and plagues.
