Let's Invade 2 - A psychedelic Space Invaders on the C64 by Richard Bayliss

Some years back we mentioned Richard Bayliss's Space Invaders game with a twist ' Let's Invade! '; a C64 game which takes the original Arcade 1978 Shooter Space Invaders by Tomohiro Nishikado and adds psychedelic moving backgrounds with upbeat trance music. Well fast forward to this month and we've been informed by Saberman, that The New Dimension with coding and music by Richard Bayliss has released the sequel for the R.G.C.D 16KB compo called ' Let's Invade 2'.

Just as in the prequel Let's Invade is not for someone who suffers epilepsy or migraines, as although it is still a Spade Invaders game at heart with plenty of nostalgic vibes blasting away dropping columns of enemies. The background really lets the game down and as one person describes, will make you feel like your eyes are bleeding or having some sort of medical based trip (even with the option to turn the flashing off. Still if you can look past the backgrounds then you might enjoy this Space Invaders clone called Let's Invade 2.
