Doomed PETSCII Pacman! - A nod to Doom but it's Pac-Man for the Commodore Plus/4

We've featured Pac-Man so many times now on our website, from Jr. Pac-Man on the Intellivision, to Pac Man The Curse of the Slimers on the ZX Spectrum and even PAC-01 on the MSX. Well here we are with another Pac-Man game, as we've recently found out, that if you head on over to the brilliant Plus4world website you can download and play Doomed PETSCII Pacman!: A unique Pac-Man variant that mixes in Doom gameplay elements and released under the label pexi.io in collaboration with PleasureBytes Games and music by Neil Brennan.

Here's what the Facebook page says about the game "Yes you've got it at first sight, it's him, it's your friendly neighbourhood yellow wakawaka pills eater. But now, in a Doom-like environment...in PETSCII fashion! Kornél Kolma also known as Ko-Ko, continues to fulfill his personal PETSCII games' series, entering now straight on a universally sealed classic, and mixing stirring cooking it up with something very strange! And what has come out of the pan, in the very end? Doomed PETSCII Pacman, clearly! A brand new way to play against the phantasmatic Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde... And...Zinky? AND DRINKY? Who they aaare!?"

  1. As this is completely made from PETSCII, it also has versions for the Commodore 64, CBM PET, and Commander X16, which you can find here:

  2. The pellets seem to be negative more than positive with many negative effects and only plus one life on the good side? Is that what makes it like Doom? I don't get it lol

  3. The constant siren sound is pretty annoying.
