Brek'n'Bubble - A Block'n'Bubble and Brektwon mash up as a new action and logical puzzle game for the C64

What does a wizard do once he’s already conquered the vaults of the Seraphim? For the protagonist of the new Commodore 64 title Brek’n’Bubble, the answer isn’t "relax." Despite living in a magnificent, newly-purchased castle surrounded by buffed golden goblets and polished diamonds, our hero has found that extreme wealth comes with even more extreme boredom. Seeing an opportunity to both outshine his relative and find some new decor for his dining hall, the wizard sets off for Brektwon's island. Surely there were still a few coins and pretty necklaces to be fetched as decoration for his dining hall!

Brek’n’Bubble by natthrafn is a clever mash up of the developer’s previous works, effectively merging the mechanics of Block’n’Bubble and Brektwon. This combination results in a gameplay experience that requires quick flexes for action sequences and sharp thinking for logical puzzles. Whether you're a veteran of the C64 scene or a newcomer to the latest homebrews. Brek’n’Bubble offers a polished, nostalgic challenge that proves there’s still plenty of life left in the legendary Commodore 64!

Key features of this new 8-bit adventure include:

  • 50 Action-Packed Stages: A substantial journey through Brektwon’s island.
  • 10 Hidden Treasure Rooms: Special areas for those with a keen eye for secrets.
  • Diverse Environments: The game features five distinct stage graphics to keep the visual experience fresh.
  • Modern Conveniences: Includes a save state feature to track progress and a high score table for competitive play.
  • The Ultimate Challenge: A final showdown with Brektwon’s spirit in a dedicated boss level.
