Over 20 years after the original game tasked players with sailing under English, French, or Dutch flags, this reimagined title brings the high-seas buccaneer experience into the modern age. Players can now fight for naval dominance across the Caribbean, expanding their allegiance options to include five distinct European powers: France, Denmark, Spain, Great Britain, and the Netherlands.

Captains must master the art of positioning and resource management to win intense tactical sea battles. The game features 12 unique ship types, requiring players to choose between three specialized ammunition types depending on the battlefield scenario. When it comes to crew composition, players must balance their forces using a trio of soldier classes: heavily protected Tanks, ranged Gunners, and swift Agile fighters. Victory is not just about sinking enemy vessels. Players can engage in risky close-quarters boarding actions to capture enemy ships alive, offering a high-reward alternative to standard destruction.
