For those of you who hate AI, then avoid this altogether, as Peppe74 has just released a brand-new collection of homebrew games for the Commodore Amiga using AI assistance. The entire pack runs on a completely stock Amiga 500 with just 512k of RAM, or an Amiga 1000 equipped with a standard 256k front expansion. In an era where the latest retro releases can demand hardware upgrades, this project goes back to basics. Every single title is fully bootable straight from a traditional floppy disk, a Gotek drive, or via the WinUAE emulator, requiring absolutely no extra memory expansions to play.
While the developer openly notes that these titles were created with AI assistance and Saberman has lumped them altogether in one video, he does also state that he has put a lot of effort into making them, so he's sharing them in case anyone wants to download and some fun. The diverse five-game roster features X-VADERS, a fast-paced Space Invaders clone, and TOMB LADY, a dedicated homage to Lady Tut. Players can also dive into the vector-style action of the Tempest-style tube shooter BEAM STORM, or enjoy an arcade-inspired reboot of Kid Grid titled KID GRATICULOUS. Rounding out the collection is ORION: ALIEN ATTACKERS FROM THE PLEIADES, a deep passion project inspired by Pleiads, the creator’s absolute favourite arcade cabinet from childhood.

These remind me of the AmigaPD games of the 90's :D
ReplyDeleteYou should stop posting these kinds of games...
ReplyDeleteWe need to stop with games made by AI.
I post about everything! You'll never stop games made with AI. In fact at some point you'll find it hard to find games not made with AI in some way. Even long time Amiga developers are using it now. On that note, prior to AI I've had people say to me to stop posting Scorpion Engine games because they need to be made on a real amiga with real amiga tools lol Prior to that, no games made in ukraine. Before that, stop posting SEUCK shoot em ups
DeleteThat is your opinion, why does everyone else have to conform to your belief? Simply ignore them and move on with your day.
DeleteAI doesn't replace the vision and structure, but we shouldn't release a game that's held together with three pieces of string and a matchstick.
ReplyDeleteFor those who already have the know-how, it will simply allow us to go faster and further.
AI will save years of development time and help break through programming dead ends,
but when the work is sloppy… full of bugs… the graphics is thrown together at the last minute, and the gameplay is a mes, what is the point?
Yes, that's my point of view, and I think a lot of people agree with me.
On the contrary, the Scorpion Engine is a great thing, and Ukraine has every right to make games lol
