WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 2 - The latest Amiga emulator beta update

Before we begin this write up I just want to say this, " WHERE ARE ALL THE NEW ZX SPECTRUM GAMES? ". Ok now I've got that off my chest, let's get back to some more Amiga news, with the latest release of ' WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 2 ' from Toni Wilen. Oh yes he's back again with another beta, as just like always he's found more bugs to squash! This time however it's mainly game port and input issues, so if you want the latest Amiga emulator WinUAE beta, read the changelog below and then download!

WinUAE 3.2.2 B1 - Bug fix update Beta 1 for the best Amiga emulator

For once in the development cycle of Toni Wilen's Amiga emulator ' WinUAE ', I actually thought the recent final of ' WinUAE 3.2.0 ' would be the last for this year. How wrong I was, as Toni has now released the first beta ' WinUAE 3.2.2 B1 ' , classed as a quick 1 week beta series with mainly bug fixes. Surprisingly even after all those previous beta versions and release candidates, yet more bugs have appeared and it's down to you to give Toni feedback to get them squashed once and for all. Do note however this is beta 1, so expect more versions to come out perhaps even this side of Christmas.

WinUAE 3.2.0 Beta 14 - A small Amiga emulator update, with 64bit support

You probably already noticed by now that WinUAE by Toni Wilen was updated recently with 64bit support. Well today Toni has once again released another beta release as WinUAE 3.2.0 beta 14, and again supports both 32bit and 64bit windows. This update although small, fixes some issues such as 64-bit JIT fixes. JIT FPU also fixed and Directory harddrives and uaehf.device is now KS 1.2 automount/boot capable. Regarded as the best Amiga emulator you can use for Amiga retro gaming, right next to FS-UAE, it's highly recommended to update after you've read the changelog below.

Space Harrier - A retro look back of a SEGA classic

Welcome to the fantasy zone. Get Ready!

When I heard the first ever samples on my Atari ST my mate and I were in awe. Computers can now talk at you as the low quality distorted sounds came at us. Barely distinguishable but cool none the less. We knew what the computer was telling us. "Fun time" , yet another fantastic hit from Sega, Space Harrier came to the arcades back in 1985 along with Sega's other popular titles back then, Super Hang-on, Afterburner and Outrun. They really did revolutionise the design of games and used a technology known as "Super Scaler" to produce what was the forefront of 3D games.

Heart Forth, Alicia - Beautifully retro 90s inspired Metroidvania RPG (Kickstarter/Steam Greenlight) - UPDATE

Through this year we've had many Metroidvania style games trying to take that top spot of retro excellence, and Heart Forth, Alicia, by Alonso Martin may do just that. It's a beautiful looking game with plenty of that 90's retro charm, as the developer states : The story unfolds amidst the repercussions of centuries worth of struggle, strife, and bloodshed between cultures, races and worldviews. But above all else, it's an epic Metroidvania RPG that combines timeless 16- and 32-bit gameplay, modern mechanics, and a set of unique, intertwining stories to take you on a fantastic journey. So for me, just another Kickstarter backed game that I'm looking forward to play, and if they reach $60,000 it will be a success! Oh and don't forget to vote it up on Steam Greenlight!
