Remember when we said that the Amstrad publisher of 4mhz, who released fabulous games such as Operation Alexandra and The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc, was bringing a brand new platformer to the NES called ' Malasombra '? Well there's great news for today! As thanks to a heads up by XeNoMoRPH through our email, he has told us that 4mhz has just shown some brand new footage and screenshots for the game which was teased as a demo at the GAMESCOM 14/8/22!

4mhz has been one of our favourite Amstrad publishers, releasing fabulous games such as Operation Alexandra, and even the brilliant The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc! Sadly however a game we previously thought was coming to the Amstrad isn't, as thanks to a heads up in our twitter feed the rather eye opening 'Malasombra' has actually been announced as coming to the NES! Yes that's right one of our most eagerly awaited Amstrad games, will now be releasing on the NES complete with high quality detail, fabulous sound and hopefully as they put it as a NES masterpiece.

With all the playable Amstrad games fast approaching at the end of the CPCRetroDev, there's still a number of them we haven't mentioned yet that is sure to whet your appetite to one of the best competitions we've seen so far. As after already announcing games such as Jarlac and even the Legend of Steel, 4MHz has astounded us with its entry of ' Operation Alexandra '; an upcoming action packed platformer that set in a secret Nazi military base in the Arctic!

It seems as if the Amstrad community is going to go all out this year, as no sooner had we heard from Juan J. Martínez (Reidrac) regarding his upcoming Amstrad game called The Dawn of Kernel. Along comes another bunch of possible Amstrad games, but this time published by 4mhz, who were behind other Amstrad titles; ADIÓS A LA CASTA, The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc and even Profanation 2 Escape from AbuSimbel!

Profanation 2 Escape from AbuSimbel - Sequel to a difficult retrogame is looking CPC awesome!

As we said before one of the "most difficult games of Spanish Software History" known as Abu Simbel Profanation, was converted to the C64: the third in the Johnny Jones Saga which was first released in 1985 for the Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and MSX. A game featuring multi-screen platforming fun with various traps, moving enemies, keys and doors to unlock to progress, was also regarded as a game of complete stress but still worth playing. If you do remember it, you'll be pleased to know once again 4mhz has shown off stunning new Amstrad CPC footage for the sequel, as Profanation 2 Escape from AbuSimbel!

The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc - Eagerly awaited Amstrad game by 4Mhz is finally here!

During the last few years we've been keeping you up to date with the latest developments regarding 4Mhz's Amstrad homebrew platformer ' The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc', which had the look of a Rick Dangerous game, mashed up with a little bit of Castlevania and Pentacorn Quest. Well as of today we are pleased to announce (thanks to a heads up by Mcklain), the game is finally available to download as both DSK and CDT based format.

In 2015 we gave you the heads up over an in development game for the Amstrad CPC, that wow'd most of our Amstrad readers. It was none other than 4Mhz Amstrad homebrew platformer ' The Lost Treasure of Cuauhtemoc', which was shown off in glorious high quality Amstrad detail. Looking like a Castlevania, Pentacorn Quest and Rick Dangerous mash up, this game puts you in the shoes of an Adventurer on a quest to find the hidden treasure, lost within the dangerous undergrounds of the Cuauhtemoc Crypt.

ADIÓS A LA CASTA - EPISODE 2 - The Amstrad gets a much improved homebrew sequel tease!

Not long ago, 4mhz released the first chapter of ' Adios a La Casta ' as a homebrew for the Amstrad CPC 6128 and 6128 Plus. It was an enjoyable game that required a 128k based system, that mixed it up with classic platforming fun, while pushing out smooth frame rates and inclusive of a decent soundtrack. But today's news is a bit more eye opening, as the developer has announced Adios a La Casta episode 2, which actually looks a much better game, taking advantage of the full colour range of the Amstrad CPC, unlike the blander pinks and purples of chapter 1. To coincide with this news, a new teaser trailer has been released!
