We've featured many of Wadjet Eye's games over the years from the very enjoyable ghostly adventure series of Blackwell, to the Apocalyptic Shardlight and my personal favorite Unavowed. In fact I don't remember an adventure game released via Wadjet Eye Games that I haven't enjoyed. Well here's were it gets interesting, as recently, our good friends Cola Powered Gamer had the opportunity to interview Dave Gilbert, the founder of Wadjet Eye Games; a company behind those brilliant titles with an exclusive interview and the challenges of game development.

Ever since 2014 we've been keeping you up to date with Two Bits Kid in development dungeon crawler of Aeon of Sands ; an incredible looking crawler that takes us back to the golden age of grid based crawlers, full of disgusting creatures, loot, button pushing door openers and nasty fireballs that do more than just singe your hair. RGDS Podcast interviews Indie Retro News!
Something completely different today and one I was trying to keep a secret until the time was right, but I've been interviewed by the excellent RGDS Podcast about Indie Retro News! Oh yes indeed after many months of discussion about it actually happening, the time is now for you to listen in, about how Indie Retro News came to be, how I became a retro gamer, the systems I've owned including an Amstrad and an Amiga, a bit about my family, some of the writers on Indie Retro News AND hopefully a personal thank you to all of YOU the readers. I was a little bit nervous, but overall it was a great experience and one, I'd happily do again on the RGDS Podcast!

Matt Chat interviews Volker Wertich, Father of The Settlers
When I was a teen one game I remember so fondly was the early 90's game ' The Settlers ' on the Amiga. It had oodles of charm and character and became one of my most addictive game series ever released on both the Amiga and then later the PC. You could build your very own little village, from woodcutters to farms and bakeries while watching your little people go about their daily chores with birds chirping in the background. It was just a shame that Ubisoft decided to wreck the later games and become a shadow of its former self. Thankfully Matt Chat was on hand this month to help relive those glorious days as he has interviewed ' Volker Wertich ' about the Commodore VIC-20 and C-64, the Amiga, Emerald Mine, and yes, The Settlers.

The Story of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in Pixels - Retro gaming at it's finest [Book Review]
Strange as it may seem, but I've always been mainly an Amstrad retro gamer. My first computer being an Amstrad CPC 464 purchased for my birthday by my mum way back when I was 7 years old. But yet there was another computer that really pulled me in as I used to play it at my friends house on many occasions, the ZX Spectrum. There was something the ZX Spectrum had over me that the Amstrad didn't, maybe it was the fact that I always wanted to play River Raid or hearing the many bleeps and blops coming from the little machine. Yet here we are, many many years ahead and I was to get a very special book in the post, a book from Chris Wilkins titled 'The Story of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in pixels'.
