Winterland Mega-Lo-Mania - A festive level set for Amiga classic 'Mega Lo Mania' by NeonCentipede

Ask anyone who's played Mega Lo Mania, and they'd probably tell of mighty conquests across different zones, filled with voices such as ' The design is ready ' and ' We are running low on elements '. Well this classic strategy game from 1991, has not only been given the festive treatment by NeonCentipede, but according to him, he has released this festive level set via a Mega-Lo-Mania level Editor. To coincide with this news, you can check out the latest footage from this 'update', as well as the full dev notes from the creator.

Gigalomania - Open Source RTS remake of Mega Lo Mania

Some time back here on Indie Retro News we did a big feature for the very famous and awesomely enjoyable RTS Mega Lo Mania. So it's great to see that the developer of Gigalomania, which is an open source 2D remake of that very game, have released the latest build of 0.27. Although I'm a purist and prefer the original, this latest version features updated graphics and is available for a rather large list of systems such as Windows, Amiga OS, Mac OS X, Linux, AROS, Nokia Symbian, Maemo, Meego, and Android.

Games I remember, with a remake - Mega Lo Mania

Another game I remember so well, was Mega Lo Mania, which was an RTS developed by Sensible Software. It was released for the Amiga in 1991, and ported to many other platforms including the Atari ST, Mega Drive/Genesis, Super NES, DOS, and the Sharp X68000. The object of Mega Lo Mania was to conquer 28 islands, divided into nine Epochs that span the history of mankind.
