Retaliate Community Edition - Roku Shoot 'em up remake gets a community edition for the C64 (Retaliate DX also Available)

Even more retro games to get through even if it is New Years Eve, as we were recently contacted to let you know that Marcelo Cabral's brand new remake called 'Retaliate - Community Edition' and 'Retaliate DX' has been released for the C64. For those who haven't heard of this game before, this is a remake of the Roku shoot em up of the same name as one of the most successful games for that platform ,which is similar to Space Invaders, Galaxian and Galaga but instead features an unusual game mechanic.

I do love a good Shooter, especially when it changes the style of game play and has waves and waves of deadly enemies that have to be destroyed. So here comes Retaliate by the developers Romans I XVI, that comes with a unique idea. Unlike other Shooter based games, you start with no ammo and must absorb your enemies' ammo and use it back against them in retaliation while avoiding getting blown up.
