Futurama - The fan based Adventure game gets a new video!

When we mentioned Arjon van Dam's 'Futurama' adventure game development using AGS, we never knew it was going to be one of our most popular articles on the site. You the readers spread the news far and wide, so it comes with great pleasure to announce not only some new screenshots but a brand new sneak peak in game video! But for those of you who didn't read the previous article, this adventure release will be very similar to games such as Kings Quest and Space Quest but with text speech in a style of Lucasarts.

Throughout the development we will try to keep you up to date as much as possible as everything about the game so far is looking really good, even if they are mostly mock ups. From the TV scene backgrounds, to the characters themselves, it's all looking so charming and I'm sure Futurama fans would agree! So to finish this article off and get excited for further news, here are some more screenshots below and that video showing Beelzebot!

- UPDATE - Due to a database failure, the previous article was lost! So the screenshots below are from our original post. Sorry about that readers!

  5. Sadly I doubt that they would ever be able to release this other than as freeware, due to Copyright infringement... It does look gorgeous though! Perhaps if they release it as freeware and get enough fan backing, they will get the attention of the show's creators and it can be made official and given a bigger budget, etc. One can hope!

  10. Wait, you mean to tell me that YOU are working on a Futurama game also? In time, I'm going to get to play TWO new and completely original Futurama games? This is TOO good to be true. I need someone to pinch me because I must be dreaming (*-*)
