As someone who uses both real hardware and emulators, it's great being able to play games either from the real thing or through a PC using the latest software. For some going on Ebay and spending hundreds of pounds if not thousands of pounds playing every single game they remember just to have an original on a 30 year old computer just isn't always possible. Now many of you have heard how amazing WinUAE is for the Amiga community, but did you know that our recent feature of the Amstrad emulator 'JavaCPC' is just as good? Well it is, and that emulator today has just reached a brand new build of 2.9m that features a number updates to make this emulator even more brilliant!
Apart from the easily usable GUI, which enables the smooth running of disk based files through a multitude of graphical settings. The main updates include a fix to the Roland Radio player application, which allows the user to listen to original CPC tunes, removed the automatic check for update.jar, minor bug fixes to CRTC emulation, CNGSoft compacted games, and fixed numerous problems in the CPC emulation.
So what ever you are doing this Saturday, make sure it's loading up JavaCPC and playing the very best in Amstrad CPC software such as the R-Type 128k Remake!
