A1200.Net launches compatible Keycaps for Amiga computers - Kickstarter!

This year in terms of life's experiences has been pretty awful, what with my own relationship at the brink of destruction, so you can probably understand why this news update was a bit late, even if it did cheer me up just that little bit. Well here it is, after months and months of writing up the new Amiga case kickstarter which was a resounding success, the same project lead A1200.net has during the weekend announced the Keycap campaign Kickstarter to go with the Amiga cases that are now in the manufacturing stage. Yes you heard that right, Amiga owners across the globe will finally be able to not only have a new Amiga case but an entire set of lovely keycaps in a multitude of different colours!

There is nothing worse than having a case new or old with a set of disgusting yellowed keycaps just because you haven't put all that effort in to take each one out and retrobright them to a lovely white, which requires a lot of sun and chemical products and the hope it wont happen again (it usually does). So in comes A1200.net to sort that out once and for all, as during the campaign which is already at $36,104 pledged of $102,000 goal, they are aiming for a 108 keycap set smothered in Anti-UV and the major fact they wont go yellow. Although there is a choice of colours and special limited editions, such as my favourite black!

Just check out this wicked early bird discount Scoopex Perk!

It all sounds so incredible and thanks to A1200.net both the new Amiga case and the latest keycap campaign, it really brings the Amiga straight out into the modern era with defined detail and brightness not seen commercially since the dawn of the Amiga itself. Just be careful though when pledging, as although the keycaps are compatible with all Amiga classic keyboards, they are not for the A1000 and some early versions of A2000 or A500 not using Mitsumi Hybrid Switches. ( see Kickstarter for more details on this )

So there you have it, an already brilliant Kickstarter line up for the Amiga just got better, so head on over to the main Kickstarter page linked below and pledge to your wallet runs dry!
