Amiga music maestro Chris Huelsbeck is at it again! After a very successful Kickstarter campaign to re-work the Turrican series soundtrack into modern studio mixes, he's back with his latest project to turn his greatest game music hits into piano pieces to be performed by Patrick Nevian, pianist and long-time fan of Chris's gaming work.
Much of his work has been through treatments like this including a full orchestral rendering of the turrican soundtrack as well as the full studio anthology, but this project aims to bring the best known tracks of Chris's career to CD, Vinyl and sheet music as solo piano pieces in a way that's not been seen for these songs before. This is down to the sheer number of requests Chris gets from fans for sheet versions of the works.
The goal has been set low enough that it's already fully funded and well on the way to achieving all the stretch goals, and with the massive success of the turrican project under his belt, it's pretty certain that any funders will not be left disappointed with the absolute quality of the finished product (I should know, I was a backer of the Turrican anthology and despite it taking a little longer than anticipated, was WELL worth the wait!) In fact one of the biggest downfalls of the turrican project was that not enough fans knew of the campaign until it was too late. In fact I still come across people who would love to get hold of the set that was produced had they known about it in time, and I only came across it from random browsing on kickstarter...
All in all, this should be a very special collection to fans of Chris Huelsbeck and his past performance and passion for his previous work certainly shows and will be a valuable asset to any collector.
Back the project for as little as $19 (for digital versions) here:
