Infernax - 8-bit inspired ARPG Kickstarter success

The retro theme just wont die and not that I'm complaining, but it's great to see modern games having a retro flavour and smashing their way through a Kickstarter success. That's exactly what has happened with Berzerk Studio's latest game 'Infernax'; an 8bit flavored horror ARPG that looks a little bit like Castlevania but with lots of lovely gore.

The developers have stated that Infernax is an ARPG ( Awesomely Radical Playing Game ), that takes it's inspirations from classic NES 1988 titles with a leveling system through an adventure platform game and puzzle elements.

The story starts in the early years of the crusades and Infernax is the adventures of a great crusader who returns to his homeland only to find it plagued with unholy magic. On your valiant quest, you will fight many strange creatures including ugly beasts and creepy skeletons. But what sets this game apart from the classical NES era, is GORE! The developers want to move from the softly approach and make sure that bosses splatter into lovely bloody gibblets.

I for one think Infernax is looking to be a wicked gory retro trip, but even though they have a Kickstarter success and it's still ongoing, they also need your Steam Greenlight votes!
