Xenophobe +3DFR - Nostalgia's blasting Aliens in this trainered C64 release

Once again we are going back to the 80's and this time it's Bally Midway's Arcade game of ' Xenophobe ', which appeared on many different systems such as the Amiga and C64. It is the C64 version however which just this week got a brand new trainer +3DFR and NTSC fix from Nostalgia. The aim of the game? To wipe out the Alien infestation from Starbases, moons, ships, and space cities before the time runs out! Do you have what it takes to wipe out the Alien scum?

When it comes to Xenophobe, the cartoon style graphics, animation and presentation is rather decent, especially with each screen being filled with different types of Aliens and Alien eggs, that must be shot at from different player controlled directions. This is made rather difficult if any of the Alien nasties end up latching on to you, or knocking you over. It's just a shame the game didn't get the best of scores during its time, with one such player saying the gameplay is a little of a let down. It's quite shallow when it comes down to it. Just enter a room, shoot everything, collect everything and go to the next room.Die eventually.

Thankfully it is still a game worth playing, even more so now from Nostalgia with more cheats to be able to use, and the all important NTSC fix. Oh and if you really want a plus side from the game, it has a very good soundtrack!
