In 2014 a Kickstarter was launched that took the retro 8bit music scene by storm, raising an astonishing £75,266 pledged of a £25,000 goal. It was known as 'Reformation' by Matt Gray, the definitive set of Matt Gray's C64 games come to life in a more modern remixed tone, enhanced with today's upbeat technology that finally made its debut in 2015. Yet fast forward to this week and Matt Gray has announced the second album as 'Reformation 2', a follow up double album to the hugely popular Reformation by Matt Gray that will feature more classic C64 game soundtrack remakes.
The first Reformation was a hugely popular album and was even regarded on our site as possibly the best C64 remix album available with incredible tracks such as Dominator, Driller, Bangkok Knights, Hunter's Moon, Vendetta, Maze Mania, Quedex ,Motocross ,Treasure Island Dizzy and others remixed by the legend himself. So you can understand why I'm really excited to get my hand on this album, as it goes even further with even more amazing remixes from classic games such as Commando, Comic Bakery, One Man & His Droid, Lightforce, Kentilla, Ocean Loader 1, Green Beret Loader, Monty On The Run, Flash Gordon and many others including something from the NES.
