Thanks to a heads up by Ataricrypt we've recently learned that the fast paced platformer which was originally released for the Dreamcast, Gameboy, Megadrive and PC, has since been released for the Atari STe by Cedric Bourse / orionsoft.This game is set in a sci-fi futuristic time in which you play as Shun, a computer engineer and member of the Truth Defenders coalition that has been imprisoned in a high security prison to stop you from informing the people against the socialist government and the progressive dictatorship.
In Escape 2042 you must carefully make your escape by avoiding the security cameras, hacking the computers to open doors, using them to deactivate defensive systems, and finally avoid the deadly enemies that will shoot on sight. As for the Atari STe version according to Ataricrypt, the game is available for purchase, comes with both floppy and hard disk games and it only requires 1MB of Ram and 2MB for the hard drive version.
