Kipper2K pre-orders for Cherry MX keyboards for the A500, A600 and A1200

It was only just last week we announced much to the delight of the retro community across the internet, that Kipper2K was going to be launching Cherry MX keyboards for the Amiga A500, A600 and A1200, as a modern keyboard setup that replaced an old unreliable keyboard, with a much more reliable, responsive keyboard which can be easily fixed and parts are abundant. Well you'll be pleased to know as of today you can now pre-order these keyboards with a full set of keycaps!

As noted by Amiga on the Lake, who is in partnership with Kipper2K, they have ordered a very large quantity of custom sized keycaps and switches to reduce costs for all customers with a target on or before Christmas 2018. Furthermore they will not only produce enough parts with an educated guess of demand to bring the lowest cost to the Amiga community with the highest quality goods, they also go on to say inclusive with the pre-order will be Cherry MX Brown switches, a full set of keycaps with a choice of black keys, a support plate, LED's for A500 and much much more.

The price will be $189USD for the A1200 & $199USD for the A500 (A500 includes controller chip and new LED'S) for the complete keyboard kits. This kit will include all the components needed to build your new keyboard. This is a simple task and will come with instructions.

As for future projects and for those of you with an A600 worry not, as noted below you will be catered for as well.

The A600, A2000, A3000 & A4000 keyboards coming soon. Also Replacement PCB membranes for those wishing to repair their A500/A600 and A1200 computers are expected to be available after Xmas 2018. These will replace the plastic membranes currently in these computers.
