Rygar AGA - Tecmo's Arcade game as an Amiga port gets an update!

On the 23rd of December 2018, we surprised the community with an announcement that Tecmo's 1986 Arcade game of ' Rygar the Legendary Warrior ', was unofficially coming to the Amiga after having been released for systems such as the Sharp X68000, C64, ZX Spectrum, NES, Master System and yes even the Lynx all those years ago. Well fast forward to a brand new year and Graeme Cowie has announced that after 4 months of hard work he is showing us first hand how far the game has come since that first announcement in the Commodore Amiga Facebook group.

Higher quality video available on Facebook

When we first showed this upcoming game for the Amiga by Graeme Cowie, the same creator behind the most excellent Bomb Jack Beer Edition. It was mearly a long scrolling platformer, with eye opening backgrounds, themed levels and also an improved UI screen. But now as what can be seen in the video above, Rygar AGA now has animated lava, water effects, power ups, and enemies which can now be defeated with a powerful attack!
