Rygar AGA - Tecmo's Arcade game as an Amiga conversion is finally here!
On the 23rd of December 2018, we surprised the community with an announcement that Tecmo's 1986 Arcade game of ' Rygar the Legendary Warrior ', was unofficially coming to the Amiga after having been released on many different systems including the C64 and ZX Spectrum. Well fast forward to today and there's been some incredible news for the Amiga community, as thanks to a heads up through our email, Seismic Minds has finally released the Rygar AGA Amiga conversion!

You'd think the Rygar AGA news would take a break by now, considering how many times we've featured it and it's not coming till October. But as of today thanks to our good friend Graeme Cowie of Bomb Jack Beer Edition, he has shared with us a brand new footage tease of Rygar AGA, with a long play exclusive nearly 60mins long! Yes indeed this is the first proper look at the upcoming Amiga AGA conversion of the legendary Rygar game by Tecmo.

Well after many beta updates and teasers we are here to tell you that not only is the game nearly finished, but it will be released in October at Amiga34 Germany!

Well after many updates and many shout outs through Amiga Bill's Twitch Stream, we are here to tell you there's been a new update improving on an already great work in progress conversion.

As Graeme Cowie has just announced, his in-development Amiga AGA port of that fantastic game now features playable demo rounds from 1 to 6!

Well fast forward to today and Mcgeezer has just teased a brand new work in progress video, which shows not just how far development has come, but also the developer discusses the latest bug fixes in his upcoming Amiga port of Rygar.

Well we've got some great news for you all, as this week we have been told that very same team has released the latest and best version prior to the EAB competition.

Last year we shocked the community with an announcement that Tecmo's 1986 Arcade game of ' Rygar the Legendary Warrior ', was unofficially coming to the Amiga after having been released for systems such as the Sharp X68000, C64, ZX Spectrum, NES, Master System and yes even the Lynx all those years ago. Well fast forward to today and Mcgeezer has announced that after many months of work, a new early demo tease has been released for the English Amiga Board Game Competition!

It's a late one here in the early hours of a Wednesday morning, but that didn't stop us from writing about the latest Amiga news, which as you guessed by the image above, it's about Rygar AGA! Yes indeed this upcoming Arcade port of a game released in 1986 and appearing on multiple systems such as the Sharp X68000, C64, ZX Spectrum, NES, Master System and yes even the Lynx. Has once again made an appearance on Indie Retro News, but this time with most of the required sound effects added that were missing in the earlier versions!

Well fast forward to a brand new year and Graeme Cowie has announced that after 4 months of hard work he is showing us first hand how far the game has come since that first announcement in the Commodore Amiga Facebook group.

Even more Amiga news as we've just learnt that Rygar the Legendary Warrior; a video game created and released by Tecmo in 1986 for the Arcades and later ported to the Sharp X68000, C64, ZX Spectrum, NES, Master System and Lynx, is coming to the Amiga! Yes you read that right, this side scrolling platformer which pits you against strange beasts, is being unofficially ported over to the Amiga by Graeme Cowie!
