This week just gets better and better as another game has hit our news feeds and it's none other than Double Dragon for the Amiga, but as an AGA edition. First released way back in the 80's by Taito Corporation, Double Dragon in the Arcades was a fantastic beat 'em up game that featured high grade fighting two player fun on many different systems such as the Amstrad, Amiga and C64. But now thanks to JOTD, he is working on bringing the Amiga version more in line with the Arcade. In fact one person even said "I honestly thought that the original was the worst home conversion that could possibly exist."

Neo Turbo Challenge - Lotus homage game is teased for the amiga [UPDATE]
Here's some interesting news for the weekend as German developer 'Cego' is creating "Neo Turbo Challenge," a new AGA Amiga racing game designed to be a worthy homage to the Lotus Turbo Challenge series. The project aims for 50 FPS gameplay on 68030/50MHz hardware, featuring network multiplayer, a level editor, and streaming audio. Currently in alpha, the engine Claude Codeis being fine-tuned to faithfully reproduce and improve upon the classic's driving mechanics and feel. HOT NEWS as Ghosts'n Goblins has arrived as a Commodore Amiga AGA edition via JOTD! [UPDATE]
If you played ' Ghosts'n Goblins ' the first game in the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise on systems such as the Amstrad, Amiga, Atari, C64 and ZX Spectrum, or the more recent arcade overhaul that was released for the Plus/4. You'll be interested to know that as of just recently, JOTD has finally released the eagerly awaited Ghosts'n Goblins AGA for the Commodore Amiga. An enhanced version for the Amiga 1200 and above bringing it more in line with the Arcade classic.

Even more fantastic news for you all, as just I found out by a good friend of ours that the 1986 Arcade game called 'Jail Break', which was also released on many different systems such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum, is still coming to the Amiga as an arcade conversion/port by JOTD. The same developer who also released many other games such as Elevator Action, Super Xevious 1200, Hyper Sports and many more. Growing up I used to collect a lot of Amiga PD games, especially as dad took me to boot fairs and markets and was happy to scan through the latest catalogue of PD games. Well one such PD game that has made an appearance for the Amiga, albeit enhanced, is Wheelchair Gladiators Championship Edition. The long awaited AGA follow up to the Amiga original from 1994. Elevator Action - JOTD's latest Arcade to Amiga conversion [UPDATE]
It's Commodore Amiga news time! Welcome to Elevator Action for the Amiga! A conversion by JOTD and team which has now been released as a final ECS build ( Previously released as AGA). A game that was originally released in 1983 in the arcades. Basically you are a spy who has must infiltrate a building with a ton of doors and elevators, hence the name. The important documents for the mission are only in the red doors and you must get to the documents on certain floors and reach the awaiting car near the basement.
CALLBACK - A fast-paced Arkanoid-style action game with a unique style for the Amiga 1200 and above.
If like me, you were addicted to games such as Arkanoid or Breakout, then come and check out this rather unique Arkanoid clone with a difference called 'CALLBACK' by PinkParrotStudio for the Commodore Amiga. A high quality Scorpion Engine developed game with relentless enemies, bigshot bosses, lasers and all the block smashing fun you could want in a game like this. Duke Nukem 3D - An updated AGA/RTG port for the Amiga by NovaCoder
Although it's rare, there are occasions when we miss out on the latest Amiga releases, which is usually because we don't get the news sent to us, or it involves a lot more than delving into the depths of a hard forum discussion. Well thankfully one of our readers has sent us a number of Amiga updates, with one of them announcing a new version of NovaCoder's Duke Nukem 3D AGA/RTG port for the Amiga. An all time classic game originally released in the 90's for the PC and other systems.

While I was having a nice two day break, I came back to some super duper news for the Amiga! As looking through all the different homebrew forums, and I have found out that at some point in the near future, Juande3050 will be releasing his Alien Breed style Commodore Amiga AGA game of 'Xenomorph'. A redpill developed game that came second during the Posadas 2025 competition. While the game isn't out yet, AmigaFrance(link) was happy to provide the latest details and footage.
Ghosts'n'Goblins - Check out this AGA tease for the Amiga, it looks pretty decent! [UPDATE]
In 1985 Capcom released one of the greatest side scrolling platform game series we have ever known. It featured a knight, creepy enemies and was rather difficult to the point of frustration. The game I am talking about is none other than ' Ghosts 'N Goblins ', the first game in the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise. A game which appeared on systems such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum. Well if you played this game, you'll be interested to know that as of today, Skyzoo73 has made available the first demo of an AGA edition for the Amiga. As in his words "I created this to see how GnG could be on the Amiga by breaking free from the limitations of the Amiga 500 classic"
SkillGrid - A wicked AGA Shoot 'em up for the Commodore Amiga gets another update!
Some late Indie Retro News for you all and one I think you'll agree is rather cool if you have a Commodore Amiga, as we've recently been informed via the EAB forums, that you can now download the newest version 1.4 of SkillGrid; an endless score-attack vertical shoot 'em up featuring frenetic, tactical gameplay and comprising of a variety of different sub-games, boss battles and sophisticated scoring mechanics.
Electroman - An MS-DOS platformer from 1992 is coming to the Commodore Amiga AGA (30th August)
For those of you interested in the latest news for the in development Commodore Amiga AGA game of 'Electroman': a game port that was originally released by Messrs, Janusz Pelc and Maciej MiÄ…sik for the MS-DOS platform back in 1992. Then we are here to let you know, that tukinem will be releasing the full version as a digital download and boxed edition 30th August. The Lost Vikings 2 Amiga - 1997 SNES game by Interplay could be coming to the Amiga (AGA)
Even more Amiga news for you all, as we've recently come across a post by Earok via Facebook, that the SNES version of the game 'The Lost Vikings 2' published by Interplay Productions, could be coming to the Commodore Amiga AGA using the Scorpion Engine. Although when I asked him if this was 100% certified he said, "Started experimenting with Lost Vikings 2 SNES assets with the view to port to AGA Amiga" and "I can't 100% verify, but the plan is to release something with it eventually (if not the whole game, at least the first few levels as a "demo")". So yes there's a chance it may never come to be, but there's still hope!
Dune II: The Building of A Remaster - Development of a new Amiga AGA and OCS version by Westwood's Robert Koon!
I'm sure many of you remember Dune II, one of the greatest RTS games of our time, an all time classic developed by one of the greatest developers Westwood, which was released for the Amiga, MS-DOS and a later release on the Sega Megadrive in 93. Well if you do remember it ( more specifically the Amiga version ), then at some point Robert Koon, who was part of the original Dune 2 team at Westwood, will be releasing a new Amiga AGA and OCS remaster. A new version of the game which is sure to excite many in the Amiga community.
Trojan - 1986 Arcade Beat em up is still coming to the Amiga(AGA)!
Possibly the best news for this morning and one I really think is going to get those jaws dropping *AGAIN* throughout the Amiga community, as trawling the EAB forums, we have found out that the Arcade version of Trojan by Capcom, is still coming to the Commodore Amiga as an AGA port by skyzoo73. A game that can be seen in this very early footage showing some of the levels, the enemies and that all important soundtrack provided by the creator.
Project - Quest: Chapter I-IV - Upcoming fantasy shooter requiring an ECS or AGA Amiga gets a new logo/level!

The sequel to a top down shooter that was also released for the Amiga developed by Mutation and published by Core Design way back in 1993. Well if you've been following all of our previous announcements for the sequel with inclusive screenshots and videos, you'll be pleased to know that at some point during today, Cyberpunks 2 by Mutation Software will be released for the Amiga AGA and CD32!
