If you're looking for a new ZX Spectrum to play over the weekend, then you'll be overjoyed to learn that John Davies and Andy Green have finally released their top-down maze shooter developed with AGDx Mini called 'Mage Rage'. In this game you play as Mercure the Mage who must venture forth into an evil lair, full of spiders, bats, rats, goblins and trolls. Your quest? To recover the magical swirls which were stolen from Stone Circle earlier that morning whilst you were busy meditating.

According to the description : Mage Rage is a top down maze shooter for the ZX Spectrum in the same vein as The Halls of the Things. You traverse the mazes killing or avoiding various creatures such as bats and spiders whilst on the look out for the stolen magical swirls. The lair also handily contains pressure pads to open doors, wizard bolt refills and life energy which will all help to keep you alive. Once the swirls have all been recovered you must make your way back to where you left your trusty steed to escape.
