I thought to myself today it's been some time since we had any Zelda style games on Indie Retro News, but thankfully I've come across a game that doesn't just have a Zelda vibe, but it almost looks like a quality commercial release from the golden era of the NES. Welcome to Light From Within; an in development game by Atarath that they claim is a new Zelda-esque adventure that will bring you right back the the 80s.
Close your eyes and awaken in a dream of magic, monsters, and mystery. In this game you play as Eleanor, a young girl lost beyond the veil of this world. Find relics to channel the power of your Spirit, discover secrets, plunder dungeons, and explore a vast 8-bit NES world. The game is still in a work in progress state, but you can check out the demo below which is downloadable via the main itch.io website.
