There are a lot of readers on our site that remember and have enjoyed the 1980's Isometric Ocean games such as Batman and Head Over Heels on systems such as the Amstrad or ZX Spectrum. So you can see why I just had to mention this cool little game that has just been recommended to us through Twitter, and that's Westen House; an isometric MSX1 game created by Santiago Ontanon 2021 that is available to download and play via github.
According to the description from the creator who enjoyed playing classics like Batman and Head over Heels, which were his favorite isometric games. Not only is Westen House an MSX1 game in a 48KB ROM cartridge format, but this game is an isometric adventure that has the goal of exploring the possibility of creating an isometric game for MSX1 exploiting hardware sprites to increase the colorfulness of the game. So yes if you enjoyed those classics, or even ones by Ultimate Play the Game, then it might be worth your time trying out Westen House on your MSX1.
