Dragon Master - A Kung Fu Master like game in development for the Atari XL/XE

Those of you looking for some fresh weekly news for the Atari XL/XE have come to the right place, as Saberman has just informed us of a brand new game that is in development for the Atari 8bit called 'Dragon Master'. Now if you remember the 1980's game of Kung Fu Master which was released in the Arcades and later the Atari 2600, C64 and other 8bit's, then this game looks to be a nod to that classic, and is in development for the Atari XL/XE by Yaron Nir.

While I haven't had the chance to play the game, from those that have played it have said, not only does it look very promising as a Kung Fu Master knock off, but most of the critique so far has been that the knives and exploding lanterns are too big, and the game could do with some henchmen that fall off the screen which is similar to the arcade version. So yes certainly one to keep an eye on, and more so if you loved the classic that is Kung Fu Master.

  1. Hopefully it turns out well. I liked the NES version more than the arcade. It’s only a demo and didn’t run well on the emulator I used. Lots of screen flashing. The character sprites look alright but I’m guessing everything is a wip at this point.
