The Amiga news just keeps on coming! As after already featuring the latest release of Tapper and the in development Galaxian, we have recently been informed by Saberman, that a new Amiga demo has been teased for the upcoming game of 'Tony' by Monochrome Productions! While we don't have any information about the games development just yet, all we can go on is this new demo footage video provided by Saberman, which gives us a better look at the game by Pawel Tukatsch, Michal Brzeziki, Rafal Dudek and XLent,
As we said before, while the details are very sparce about 'Tony' which is a tribute to Tony Halik. From what we can see via the teaser video provided by Saberman. Tony looks to feature not just monochrome graphics (marmite for some!), but deadly enemies such as bats and snakes, charming animations, nasty spike traps, and a nod to classic monochrome platformers games many of us still love to this day. And that's all we have on this demo, but as ever as soon as we know more we will of cause let you know :)
Update : We've just been informed by Saberman, that the demo is now available!

This could be a nice game if they used hires with like 3 bitplanes
ReplyDeleteDemo released!
DeleteThat's nice! Looking 8bit is fun. ZX style, now it could be more like an Amstrad PCW game (i.e. check for head over heels pcw) with that 640*200 half pixel, so small that dithering looks like a new color while the rest is still look cute like a ZX with 320*200 alike pixel (double)
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for this game!! Hopefully a demo release soon :D Lovin the Graphics TBH!
ReplyDeleteName the "classic monochrome platformer" on the Amiga. Oh wait there aren't any. Name the "classic monochrome platformer" on the Commodore 64 or the ZX Spectrum.

ReplyDeleteADF loads in FS-UAE but stuck on cracktro screen. Space bar toggles between yes and no but can't get down to the options below and the okay button. How did other users get it to work. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGREAT game :) BTW, I noticed there's a tiny delay when crouching. Is it possible to reduce it in the full version ? (don't know where to report that :) Also I get some random screen "flickering" on my A1230. (like a trashed screen for a fraction of a second).
