Tony - An enjoyable Amiga and C64 Platformer is now available as an Atari XL/XE demo!

Moments ago we were contacted by Saberman, that Vladimir and team have released the first playable demo of the work in progress platformer of 'Tony - Born for Adventure' for the Atari XL/XE. A game that wasn't just released as demo for the Amiga, but also the C64 originally by Monochrome Productions. To coincide with this news, we've also got some new footage of the game which shows multiple themed rooms, dangerous enemies and nasty traps.

Here's the latest about the game that has appeared on countless systems going back to 2023. "Embark on a pixelated journey inspired by Tony Halik, the real-life Polish explorer and filmmaker whose adventures spanned continents and decades. He was exploring ancient civilisations for NBC, Tony's love of discovery knew no bounds. Now it's your turn to step into Tony's digital shoes and unravel the mysteries of Montezuma's Castle in this nostalgic 8-bit homage as a demo for the Atari XL/XE."

  1. It would be interesting if they made a version of this game for the Mega Drive/Genesis. These old PCs were not successful in certain regions of the world, whereas the Sega console was, so porting these games to the console would be very welcome.

  3. Very nice game. Love the graphics & atmosphere & the fact that the main character doesn't move sluggishly. The monochrome graphics remind me of the days of Dark Castle which I loved.

  4. Excellent monochrome graphics which i m under the notion they are clearly better than the C64p ort.Maybe a future C128 utilising VDC , or a Commodore Plus/4 version might give back to the 8bit Commodore Team some of their lost dignity.

  6. Wonderfully smooth character movement. Nice graphics. The lack of colour is neither here nor there. I'll take less colour for the better movement most days. I like the theme tune too.

A game I'd love to see ported to newer machines is Electra Glide. I played that game for hours and hours. One of those I play every half year. Is anyone working on any ports of this game?
