We've recently found out through Facebook, that HooGames2017, is not only still working on the gorgeous looking Scorpion Engine developed game of 'Phantom Leap', but as of today a new 1.6 version has been shown off in Saber's latest gameplay footage. A platformer that is set deep within moss-covered ruins and ancient trees, as you must uncover the mysteries that lie within..... Will you find hidden treasures and untold secrets, or will you succumb to its countless dangers?
And here's the latest "As a fearless explorer, you leap into this adventure, jumping over deep chasms, climbing towering platforms, and searching for the hidden paths that lead to valuable coins. But beware—the forest is teeming with strange creatures that don't take kindly to intruders. Furious mushrooms hop aggressively in your way, trying to stop you at all costs. And they’re not alone! Other mysterious beings lurk in the shadows, ready to challenge your every move".
"But you're not defenseless! With a daring head stomp, you can defeat enemies and clear your path forward. However, not all creatures go down so easily—some are quick, others are tough, and a few guard secret passages that only the sharpest explorers will uncover. Every coin you collect brings you closer to the top of the high-score list. But it's not just about reaching the finish line—true masters explore every inch of the forest, uncover hidden areas, and break records. Will you be the one to discover all the secrets and claim the number one spot? Leap into action and find out—only in Phantom Leap!"

What a beautiful game! Great graphics and sound and a good gameplay! It's on par with the best platform games of the nineties for amiga 500! There is no parallax scrolling but for the rest is a fantastic entry for ocs!!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow! Who needs AGA when you Scorpion ;)
ReplyDeleteThe graphics and design are very nice, but unfortunately the gameplay is very boring (we do practically the same thing over and over again, and the levels are practically the same in terms of variety of mechanics), so there is a lack of interesting mechanics, such as:
ReplyDeletetrampolines
conveyor belts
catapults
various enemies in terms of behavior and additional mechanics
swimming
balancing
swinging on ropes
and many others
