Looking for a family friendly game, while still having a challenge? Then come and check out ArugulaZ's latest ColecoVision and MSX game called 'Operation Hibernation'. A game in which you play as the character Byron J. Lennox, and must stock up on fruit for the approaching hibernation season. Just watch out for all those falling barrels! To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a video of the final version of Operation Hibernation for the ColecoVision, as well as for the MSX.
Here's the full details from the website. "Byron J. Lennox is back, and he's brought his appetite! The star of Whack 'Em Smack 'Em Byrons is on another wacky adventure, stocking up on fruit for the approaching hibernation season. Get him good and fat for his long winter's nap, but steer clear of Plinkies, Soarians, Magmanites, and various other hazards in each stage. Survive all three stages and you'll be taken straight to heaven... or a fish ladder, which may as well BE heaven for any self-respecting bear. Gobble salmon and point-heavy rainbow trout to pack on the pounds, but stay away from the electrifying Shockray Eel... this grumpy guppy is on nobody's menu!"
Dev Notes : Operation Hibernation for ColecoVision and MSX has reached the end of its development cycle. Starting in September, I'll charge five dollars for a digital copy. The game will also be available as a physical ColecoVision release, courtesy of CollectorVision.

(Colecovision version). A nice looking and fluent-moving game with accurate playability, but I found it far too difficult at too early a stage to carry on. Maybe it's me, but I lost interest because of this. Didn't hold my attention with a building challenge.
ReplyDeleteYo, guy who made the game here. I've uploaded an easier version on Itch.IO if that's of interest to you. I personally think this build is TOO easy, but if challenge is keeping you from enjoying the game, you'll be pleased to know that this version of the game has far less of it.

Super Cool! Tried both Versions, wouldnt call the Standard one too hard, but wouldnt call the easy one too easy either. Both are well playable. Nice and polished Game, by the way, will try Out other Games you Programmes!
